01About

From my first PC to the data centre

It all started in 2018 with the first PC I built myself. Soon after came my first websites, a home server made from old hardware and my own game servers for FiveM, Minecraft and ARK, which I ran for two years.

In 2022 I turned it into a career: an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for systems integration at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), completed in 2025. Since November 2025 I've been working in IT at HORNBACH Baumarkt AG, looking after Windows clients and hardware. Since June 2026 I've also been self-employed on the side, building apps, websites and software with my studio DELTACODE.

  1. DELTACODE · self-employed (part-time)

    My software studio: my own apps such as myAthletics and SIGNL, plus apps, websites and software for small and medium-sized businesses.

  2. IT · HORNBACH Baumarkt AG

    Looking after Windows clients and hardware.

  3. Apprenticeship completed

    IT specialist for systems integration. Final project: a highly available Proxmox cluster with Ceph.

  4. Apprenticeship at KIT

    Training as an IT specialist for systems integration at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, including time in internal IT working on system administration and infrastructure projects.

  5. My own game servers

    Ran and administered my own servers for FiveM, Minecraft and ARK: Survival Evolved for two years, with players, updates and everything that goes with it.

  6. First home server

    Built a server from old hardware. That was my way into Linux, services and networking.

  7. First websites

    Built with HTML, CSS and PHP.

  8. First PC of my own

    Specced and built it myself. After that, it was clear where I was heading.

2025 Final project

Highly available Proxmox cluster

Highly available virtualization with Proxmox VE and Ceph distributed storage for FTU Karlsruhe. If a node fails, the virtual machines keep running on the others.

The server rack on this page is built entirely in code: devices, labels, LEDs, cables and data packets, without any 3D models. The site runs on my own server, with no cookies, tracking or third-party services.

DELTACODE

Since June 2026 I've been running DELTACODE on the side, my own software studio. I build my own apps and software there, as well as apps, websites and programs for small and medium-sized businesses, from the first idea to release.
